Well I have tried for nearly a year to identify SM the artist whose initials appear on this necklace to no avail. Emails, posts...i was so hoping to credit the artist who obviously meant to be remembered for this fabulous piece as he/she signed it in multiple places!
The necklace shows lots of wear and signs of prior love- it is however still in very wearable condition and an excellent slice of late 70s -80s NYC life! The funky colors remind me of the artists that worked at the Keith Herring Studio and after a neat shoppe that I don’t recall the name of down near broadway & Houston. In any event I LOVE this necklace and think it will make an excellent addition to any wardrobe or collection or better yet both.
